Here’s How It Works:
Step 1: You order branded cakes, cupcakes, and cookies with our fun and easy customization process.
Step 2: We find the bakery located in your desired delivery area to ensure every item is hand-made and baked fresh by a vetted baker.
Step 3: Our headquarters proofs, prints, and ships the edible printing sheets to the bakery.
Step 4: The bakery prepares your order, and applies the edible image sheets printed with your desired graphic.
Step 5: Either the bakery (or a 3rd-party delivery service) delivers your order to your special event or customer.

What is Say It In Frosting?Say It In Frosting is an e-commerce platform that allows corporate and private customers to order hand-made cakes with custom edible graphics. We work with a national network of vetted bakers, so all you have to do is place your custom order, upload your designed graphic, and relax while we take care of (literally) everything else but the eating. We locate the baker closest to you We place the order with them We print, proof, and ship the edible graphic sheets to the baker If the baker doesn’t offer delivery, we hire a 3rd party delivery service (at no cost to you)

What are the bakers’ qualifications?We work with exceptional independent bakers across the county. To be a part of our baker’s network, they must undergo a vetting process that ensures they meet all requirements and regulations based on their federal and state laws.

What kinds of desserts can I order?Custom-designed, freshly-baked cakes, cookies, and cupcakes in crowd-pleasingly classic flavors, specialty fillings, and beyond—from a baker in your neighborhood. What are edible images?An edible image is a graphic file (.png, .jpeg, .tiff, etc) printed onto specially designed edible image sheets. This process requires a specialized edible printer (we use a Icing Images). Edible image sheets allow highly detailed and colorful graphics (anything from a logo to a scene from your favorite film) to layer on top of cakes, cookies, and cupcakes.

What are the edible image sheets made of?There are two common types of edible image sheets: Icing Sheets: Made of a thin layer of white icing on plastic-backed paper (this backing is what lets the icing sheet pass through the special printing machine. Some, but not all icing sheets are vegan-friendly. Wafer Paper: Made of potato starch, water, and oil. It is vegan and vegetarian friendly. At Say It in Frosting, we use Icing Images edible image sheets.

Where are you located?Our headquarters (where we handle order processing and printing) is in Hudson Valley, NY (yes, we enjoy the incredible view!) Our vetted, independently-owned bakers operate across the United States. And if we don’t already have an “in-network” baker in your zipcode, we do the legwork of finding one. No such thing as “Sorry, we aren’t available in your area!”

How long does it take to receive my order?We recommend a minimum delivery time of 10 days on average. However, for corporate clients, same-day and next-day delivery options are available at an additional charge. Visit this page to learn more.

How will I receive my baked order?Every order is lovingly hand-packed by the independent bakery preparing your order. If the baker doesn’t offer delivery services, we work with a 3rd party service.

How does Say It In Frosting work?The process of ordering with Say It In Frosting is beautifully simple: Step 1 Browse: Visit our menu to choose between a cake, cookie, or cupcake Step 2 Customize: Use our quick-select menu to customize your size, shape, flavor, and filling. Step 3 Decorate: Upload a high-resolution version of your desired graphic (it can be a .png, .tiff, or .jpeg—we recommend a DPI of 600px) Step 4 Relax: Our headquarters receives your order, finds your baker, converts your graphic into edible assets, and works with your baker to complete your order. Step 5 Celebrate: Say hello to delicious, beautifully custom-printed desserts that will wow your crowd—or just a special someone!
